For
two years I was responsible for the design, artworking
and production of a range of covers at
SAGE Publications,
working alongside two other designers on lists ranging
from sociology to education to business. I was
responsible for my own projects from start to finish,
liaising with authors, editors, marketing managers,
printers and image libraries. All covers had to be
approved by a weekly editorial meeting, where my
communication and persuasion skills would come in very
useful.
